What is EditText.app?
EditText.app is a collection of 90+ free online text tools built for writers, developers, students, and creators. From converting text to title case or camelCase, to counting words, comparing drafts, encoding data in Base64, or generating stylish Unicode fonts for social media — everything you need to work with text is in one place.
Why we built it
Most text tools online are either bloated with ads, require an account, send your text to a server, or charge for basic functionality. We found ourselves reaching for the same handful of utilities every day — a title case converter here, a word counter there — and each one was a different site with a different interface.
EditText.app was built to solve that: one clean, fast, private place where every common text operation works instantly, without friction. We've built it with one rule in mind — your text never leaves your browser.
Privacy first, always
Every tool on EditText.app runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you paste text and click a button, the conversion happens locally — no network request is made, no data is sent to any server, and nothing is logged or stored.
This means EditText.app also works offline. Once the page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and every tool will continue to function normally. It's one of the reasons we invested in making it a Progressive Web App (PWA).

Who's behind it
EditText.app is built and maintained by Jan Tegze — a developer, author, and creator passionate about building useful tools that respect users' time and privacy. The project is independently built and funded; there are no investors or enterprise backers, which means the focus stays on what matters: making great tools for the people who use them.
